Dr. Richard Tapping is an associate professor of microbiology, teaching medical immunology at the University of Illinois. His research topics include genomics, host-pathogen interactions, molecular immunology, receptor biochemistry and signal transduction. He earned his PhD in biochemistry at the McMaster University, Canada in 1995, and his postdoctoral in immunology at the Scripps Research Institute from 1995-1999. He was also a senior Research associate in immunology at the Scipps Research Institute from 1999-2002.
